On Monday Jake surprised us by taking us ice skating. I haven't been in years, and the kids had never been, but we had so much fun. At first we thought it was going to be a bust, but the kids finally warmed up to strapping on the skates and going around the rink. Abigail only had fun when she was holding on to Daddy's hands. Ethan ventured out and went around the rink holding on to the side rail, and Jade tried to do it herself the whole time telling us repeatedly, "My do it, K?". I felt pretty comfortable on the skates after awhile and even started skating backwards and doing spins...fun! Jake is just naturally coordinated at whatever he does, so he didn't seem to have any troubles except for a sore back from holding the kids on their feet the whole time :)
